Five for Friday! Linky Party with Doodle Bugs Teaching

I had NO intentions of posting 3 times today! What?! I have had some free time on my hands today, so why not! Since summer has officially begun for me and many others, I am going to talk about 5 summer must haves for me!

1) Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

LOVE! I bought this through Amazon (a little cheaper!) a month ago and I have used nothing else. This product is awesome! The colors are perfect for everyone and so beachy and summery!

Jergens Natural Glow- I have used this for years! I am pasty white without this natural looking self tanner. It is a must until I have an actually tan.

Speaking of tan…The hubby and I washed our cars last weekend and we were burnt! My skin was screaming! This product was so cool to the touch and really made the burn go away. It also smells really good!

I can’t do this list without mentioning my new laptop! I am loving it! We have a desktop, but the only place for it was upstairs. I was never able to get on it and keep on eye on the little ones. This is PERFECT!!! It will make blogging, creating TPT products, and making lesson plans so much easier.

Allegiant (Divergent Series #3)

I am so glad that this book finally hit the stands! It is the third installment in the Divergent series. Now that I have time, I can finally read it!!

Happy Friday!!!

Friday FREEBIE- Father’s Day Interview

In 16 short days it will be Father’s Day! I have brainstorming ideas for my own father and husband. I always think kids say the funniest things! This little interview form will be something great for your kids at school or for your own children. We are not in school for Father’s Day, so I am going to let Andrew complete this one. It should be funny! You can pick up this FREEBIE on TPT here!

I also came across this book on Pinterest. It looks perfect for a classroom read or even as a gift!

First Morning of Summer Vacation

Ahhh….What a lovely morning! Today is my first day of summer vacation!! I got to sleep in and it was wonderful. Andrew (my 4 year old son) never sleeps in,but he crawled into bed and watched TV while I kept sleeping. Abigail ( 1 year old daughter) is still sleeping! It is 8:30 and I can’t believe it!

I have recently lost 13lbs and have fallen off the wagon with lunches with coworkers this week. I am back on strong! I would love to lose quite a bit more and the summer is the perfect time to concentrate on eating healthy. I adore watermelon in the summer, or heck anytime!

Don’t you love my Christmas mug!?

This evening kicks off Vacation Bible School at church, so I am sporting my T-shirt today. This is Andrew’s first year being able to participate. I am so excited for him! I am volunteering in the preschool craft section. So excited!!

I hope everyone has a great start to the weekend. For everyone still working, hang in there!

Tricks of the Trade- Poster Storage and Organization

I am linking up with Joy in the Journey- Tricks of the Trade Thursday. This Thursday is all about poster storage and this could not come at a better time. I have no pictures to share because of being in the middle of moving. I am loving looking at everyone’s ideas! When I get everything organized I would love to use clear storage bags that are hung on the wall. I need things accessible, but out of the way.

I found this on pinterest and I LOVE this idea!

This is another idea using hangers. I am thinking this will be a must in my new room!

By the way…I did not get around to taking pictures of my mess. It was a crazy day! We had local police officers completing training in our school for potential intruders/gunmen (so scary to even imagine). Of course, my hall was the one being used so we were not able to go in for hours. Anyway, I am going in some next week!

New Blog Design!

I am loving my NEW blog design by Dreamlike Magic! They were so easy to work with a very quick!

I am starting my LAST day of post planning!! Yay for summer! I will be working a lot this summer because of moving, but it will be on my own time. I will take a picture today of my massive pile of STUFF! It is amazing what gets accumulated in 8 years. I am moving into a teacher’s room that has been teaching for 32 years. Talk about stuff! It is overwhelming for me to even watch her go through everything.

I will be back later today with pictures!

Be a Word Detective!

I have taught quite a few students in the past 8 years and they all LOVE clipboards! As soon as I pass them out, I have them! This new TPT product let’s the students be the word, or in this case letter, detective! Of course they have carry a clipboard to appear more official!

This set includes letters A-Z with 3 letters per page and is only $2! I hope you enjoy!

2 more days of post planning for me!

Classroom Theme

Does your classroom have a theme? In the past I have always stuck with just a color scheme and not really a theme. Since I am moving down to much younger kids, I thought it would be fun to have a theme of sorts. I believe I have decided on a jungle theme. I am very much a clutter free person, so I will probably not have monkeys and trees hanging from the ceiling. However, I am going to have some zebra print and neon colors! I am going to cover my bulletin boards with black fabric to let the colors pop even more!

I am going to use the leftover center pieces from my daughters 1st birthday party and the pink boa of course!

I also found these dividers in the Wal-Mart $1 bins! I am ready to make my teacher binder!

If you want a similar theme with zebra, I have the cutest classroom displays on my TPT store! I cannot add a picture at the moment because I am on  my new laptop! I have not moved all of my files, so I will update this soon! I bought a HP Envy and I am loving it!!

I hope everyone has had a great Memorial Day weekend. I loved the extra snuggle time with my babies!

Abigail just turned one and Andrew is 4. They have my heart!

My Summer Bucket List!

I am joining Miss Kindergarten’s linky party! This linky party is dedicated to a Summer Bucket List! Since I am moving a huge change this upcoming school year, I have a huge summer bucket list! Some of my “have to do’s” are listed below.

1) Creating my own customized lesson plans. I have always used the ones that our county provides, but I think I want my own this year!

2) Clean Desk- I usually keep my desk fairly cleaned off, but I hope to improve even more. I want to create some creative (and attractive) storage solutions.

3) Make a Cute Wreath: Our school will have a farm theme next year and I thought this would be cute! I don’t carry the theme into the room, only the hallway.

4) Hallway Display: Continuing with the FARM theme, this would be cute around my door!

What is your Summer Bucket List?

Welcome to Kreative in Kindergarten!

I am so excited about this phase in my teaching career. In August, I will begin my 9th year teaching. Wow! Time flies! I have taught 3 years in special education and the past 5 years as a 5th grade Math and Science teacher. I loved both jobs! However, my enthusiasm with starting to dwindle. I really wanted something different! My joy of teaching started in kindergarten. I completed my student teaching in kindergarten and cotaught while teaching special education. I was given the opportunity to move positions from fifth to kindergarten for the next school year. Of course I said ABOLUTELY!

I hope that this blog will give others ideas and I can connect with other teachers from around the world. I feel like we are all teachers and students!
