Summer Break..Really?!

I am officially on day 4 of Summer Break. It hasn’t really felt like a break since I have been in my new room 2 out of the 4 days. However, I have made a lot of progress in two short days. I have unpacked ALL of my boxes!! I have even finished some of the cutesy elements of the room. I am so excited about how it is progressing. I still have about a million more things to do and I will be going to back often.

As promised, I took some pictures!

This will be my writing center. I am loving so far. The rolling bin underneath will be gone and chairs will be in place. In the drawer I already have lined paper, cutesy paper, stamps, pencils, markers, and stickers!

I also have some clipboards and the radio will be relocated. I am super excited about this area!

This is the beginning of my calendar area. In the move, I lost a few numbers! The zebra print alphabet chart is from the Dollar Tree.

This is one side of a large bulletin board. I used black cotton fabric from Wal-Mart and I had the border for years. The robot and pink boa are from the Dollar Tree (LOVE that store!) and the quote is all mine! This is where I will hang some FANCY student work!

This is a little bulletin board over my desk. This area needs a lot of work, but I am loving what I have so far!

This is behind my small group table.

This is the before of my reading area.

And the after! I still have a ton of books to bring from home, but this is better!

Just so you have an idea of what I still need to do…

The custodians are shampooing my carpet Friday, so then I will be ready to move the chairs and desks. Of course I still need to work on that very tall bulletin board. It will be our word wall.

I picked up the kids from day care and outside we headed.

I LOVE this boy!

This is from yesterday. You can never start too early!

Have a great Wednesday!

  3. Your room looks great so far! It's so great that you get to spend so much time moving in now instead of having to wait til the new year starts.

I can't wait to see more pictures soon.
