Target Dollar Spot Haul

Dollar Spot Haul
Hello everyone!! Today I am sharing a Target Dollar Spot Haul!! The Dollar Spot is one of favorite shopping spots for fun and pocket friendly things.  I am not lucky like most and have a Target nearby.  I have to drive 25 minutes.  When I get near one, I just have to stop.
The Target I went to had only started to put out school/teacher related items.  However, I some how still managed to buy several things.  LOL!
Here is a look at the goodies I found!

My favorite find were these metal pails with a chalk board label!!  I am pretty sure I am going to use this for my new pencil/unsharpened pencils.  They also had some that had stars instead of the rectangle.  I also picked up one pack of the word strips.  I use these for centers all the time!

I then found these list pads and sticky notes.  I thought they had the cutest design and who doesn’t need more sticky notes!?

Next they had a bin of stickers!  I got 2 of the reward stickers (I always want to celebrate good behavior) and birthday badges.  Do you see the washi tape?!  They only had these two designs,  but they are so cute!!

Lastly, I SCORED these two (pink with crayons is in above picture) paper bins.  They are made of think cardboard that will be great for sorting the endless amount of papers I have at any given time.

I hope to go back closer to school and hopefully get some new things! So has anyone else started buying things for your classroom?  I have already started by annual summer storage in my dining room.  Smile
BTW I just noticed the small Post-it sticky notes.  They were not in the dollar spot section. Sad smile Sorry!

Monday Made It- How I Use my EC Planner

It’s Monday and you know what that means!  It is Monday Made It with 4th Grade Frolics!  I always love spending HOURS looking through the links and getting so much inspiration!  I am going back to work on my room for the first time on Thursday, so I need all inspiration I can get!

I am doing something a little different today.  I am going to show you how I use my new Erin Condren planner.  I have had it for 2 weeks now and I have gotten a system that I think will work.

Let’s first just talk about how much I love my new planner!! I really do!! This is my third year and it just gets better and better.  So on to my planner!

This is the cover. I love how they are interchangeable this year.  I am thinking I will get a new around Christmas!

I love how each day is split between morning, day, and night.  I put everything on here!  Chores, appointments, birthdays, blogging ideas, and all of our meals are all in one place.

Here is a close up of the beginning of this week.  I used washi tape to jazz up the bottom.  This particular tape came from Target Dollar Spot! I am sharing a Target Dollar Spot haul tomorrow!!

This half is a little bare.  We have not made all of our plans for this weekend yet.

That is just a little look at how I use my planner!

I thought I would also share a birthday present that I got from my amazing husband.  We have this HUGE wall off our kitchen that I just couldn’t find or decide what I wanted to do in this space.  I saw this dining cabinet/buffett at Sam’s Club and knew that was it!!  I am in LOVE!  It is much lighter in person.  Sorry about the light! We have French doors right beside this.

I am going to follow Doodle Bugs lead and talk about how the new school year is FAST approaching.  Teachers return on August 5th and students on the 11th.  I am starting to get a panic feeling.  I will be going to my classroom next week to start working a few days a week.  I am already rearranging my room in my head!

My son, Andrew starts KINDERGARTEN this year!! CRAZY!?  We did his supply shopping the other day and it was so fun!   I of course picked up some things for my classroom!  See Andrew’s binder?  I made the cover sheet and I am loving it!!  The back pack and lunch bag are from Pottery Barn.

Yesterday was my birthday!  The hubby took me out for dinner and it was nice!   We had the chance to talk and really catch up.  Of course, our conversation was centered around our children!  Oh and I had a sale over at TPT.  It ends today! Everything is 20% off!

I have been trying REALLY hard to start my 31st year on a healthy note.  I really trying to stick to mostly organic whole food.  It is pricey, but I feel so much better when I eat this way!  I am also working out as often as possible.

Markdown Monday!

I hope everyone had a great 4th!! We had a HUGE cookout at our house!  It was so much fun!  I am still trying to get the house back in order and get back on my diet regimen.  I find the eating part soooo hard during the summer!!

Anyways….on to the markdown!  Don’t we all love a good sale?!  I am joining Kelly and Kim’s Kindergarten Kreations Markdown Monday!

Check them out for all the deals on TPT!  I am marking down one of my brand new products.  I am so excited about it!  I love using technology in my classroom and so do the kids!  It just makes everything so much fun.  This is the first of several math task card products that feature QR codes.  I created this project to use at a math center.  Each set of task cards covers the common core standard for this unit.  It also has a worksheet for the students to record their answers.  I will be creating the other units very soon!

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I would first like to think all of the sweet comments!  Teacher blogs are the BEST!! Everyone is so supportive and I just love it!

Today I have a FREEBIE!! Don’t we all love a great freebie!? I know I do.  I am linking up with The Teaching Tribune with her Worksheet Wednesday.  I am sharing a worksheet from my BEST SELLING TPT product American Symbols.  The worksheet is a fill in the blank type with American Symbols.  American Symbols is a Social Studies standard for Kindergarten here in Georgia.  My kiddos loved this unit!  I always brought back the symbol cards for President’s Day, Memorial Day, Veteran’s day, etc. Click the picture below for the link!

I’m Back!! and July Currently

Hello guys!!! If you are still reading….BLESS you!  I took a 9 month hiatus.  That sounds really bad!  I am back and I hope to stay at this more consistently.  Just to update- I am moving on up to 1st grade for next year!  I am excited for the group of teachers that I will be working with and the new curriculum.

I cannot believe that it is already July!  July is my birthday month, so I have nothing against it.  However, it does mean that I have only have a few weeks left of this glorious summer break.  Now on to July currently!!
